Market note · 2 September 2026
The AEPI just set an all-time high
The Agentic Economy Price Index — the daily like-for-like price index over ~17,000 AI agents and MCP services — closed today at 100.22, the highest level since records began on 5 July. The previous high, 100.19, had stood since 19 August.
Keep the scale honest: a record here means agentic prices are up 0.22% in two months. This is a market whose headline price level barely moves — most of the ~17,000 listings never reprice — which is exactly why the days it does move are worth reading.
What drove today’s move
Today’s step up came from 15 verified like-for-like repricings, and one provider dominates them: ERPC raised every plan on its menu by more than 100% overnight.
| Provider · plan | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| ERPC · Business | €298/mo | €698/mo | +134% |
| ERPC · Developer | €42/mo | €98/mo | +133% |
| ERPC · Pro | €598/mo | €1,280/mo | +114% |
| Viewmax (AI video) · Pro | $35.51/mo | $62.83/mo | +77% |
| Bump.sh (MCP platform) · Pro | $250/mo | $120/mo | −52% |
| MCP Emails · Pro | $29/mo | $15/mo | −48% |
The cuts are real too — the index nets rises against falls; today the rises won.
Where the pressure sits
The record is not evenly spread. By buyer tier: Enterprise plans lead at 100.38 (+0.39% over 30 days), Team/SME at 100.31 and Individual at 100.31 both nudged up again today, while Pro sits at 100.08 and has drifted slightly down over the last month. The pattern we flagged in August — pricing power concentrating at the top end while mid-market plans stay pinned — is intact at the new high.
Method in one line: the AEPI only counts a price change when the same plan from the same provider is observed at a new standing price (promotions and intro offers excluded) — live daily at agentery.com/aepi. Not investment or pricing advice.
